Devly

Devly is a macOS application that provides over 60 developer utilities accessible directly from the menu bar. Designed to streamline daily development workflows, it eliminates the need to switch between multiple browser tabs or separate tools by consolidating encoding, formatting, hashing, conversion, text processing, and various developer utilities into a single interface. The platform emphasizes privacy, processing all data locally on the user's device without accounts, tracking, or analytics, and requires no internet connection for its core functions.

Among its features, Devly offers a wide range of encoding and decoding tools, including Base64 (with standard and URL-safe options), URL, HTML entity, JWT, Unicode, binary/hex, and Morse code formats. It includes a JWT decoder that displays header, payload, and expiry information, as well as a swap mode for reversing bidirectional tools. The hashing suite supports local generation of MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512, HMAC, PBKDF2 (with custom salt and iterations), and all nine UUID versions (v1 through v8 and nil), with the ability to generate all hash variants simultaneously. Formatting and validation tools cover JSON, YAML, XML, SQL, GraphQL, TOML, and CSV, offering smart indentation, validation, and instant bidirectional conversion. JSON formatting features syntax highlighting and both pretty and minify modes, while Markdown preview provides side-by-side HTML output.

Devly also includes utilities for HTTP status and port lookup, password generation, regex testing, text diff, color conversion, and graphics-related tools such as Tailwind Colors, color palettes, and an SVG editor. The built-in HTTP client and MIME type reference further support developers working with web technologies. For enhanced usability, the application supports keyboard shortcuts for searching, processing, copying output, swapping modes, and clearing data, allowing most actions to be performed without a mouse. Users can detach Devly from the menu bar and use it as a floating standalone window if preferred.

A command-line interface (CLI) is available, installable via Homebrew, granting terminal access to all 60+ tools.
