DeepTracer is an AI-powered monitoring agent designed for developers to maintain the health and reliability of production applications. It operates by continuously observing deployed apps, automatically detecting errors, investigating their root causes, and providing plain-English explanations and suggested fixes. The tool aims to minimize the time and effort required to identify and resolve production issues by correlating logs, traces, and deploys to pinpoint the origin of problems, such as missing environment variables or code changes that introduce errors.

The agent offers 24/7 ambient monitoring with health checks every five minutes, tracking API endpoints, database health, memory usage, and error rates. When an error spike is detected, DeepTracer initiates an automatic investigation, presenting developers with a clear root cause analysis and actionable recommendations. It also includes LLM cost tracking, allowing users to monitor per-model spending, cost-per-user breakdowns, and receive alerts when usage spikes. An integrated AI chat feature lets developers query the agent about app health, error spikes, and performance metrics, with responses grounded in real application data.

DeepTracer is delivered through an SDK that can be installed with minimal code changes, supporting frameworks such as Next.js (App Router and Pages Router), React, Node.js, Express, Bun, and Hono. It is compatible with any Vercel-deployed app via log drains. The SDK is lightweight (under 10KB gzipped) and operates asynchronously to avoid impacting application performance. Python and Go SDKs are noted as coming soon.

The service is available under a tiered pricing model. The free plan, called Reactive Mode, allows for monitoring one project with limits on events, AI investigations, chat messages, and one-day data retention, along with email alerts and an LLM cost dashboard. The Pro plan, Guardian Mode, is priced at $19 per month and includes unlimited projects, higher event limits, unlimited AI investigations and chat, 24/7 monitoring, extended retention, Slack and email alerts, and support for team collaboration. DeepTracer focuses on providing automated investigation, actionable insights, and cost tracking for AI usage in production environments.
