ColrStudio

ColrStudio is a browser-based generator for production-ready layered SVG lettering and multi-layer color fonts. It targets users who create assets for Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, laser cutters, and web applications, allowing direct creation and export without accounts or post-processing cleanup.

The tool produces clean layered SVG files with exact real-world dimensions in millimeters, centimeters, or inches. These exports include perfect layer alignment from shared font geometry, pre-kerned fonts, adjustable letter and word spacing handled before export, and optional registration marks for multi-color cutting alignment. The resulting SVGs require no manual nudging, re-alignment, or typography fixes inside cutter software, supporting outline cuts, multiple vinyl layers, knockout effects, and script fonts.

For color fonts, ColrStudio builds structured COLRv1 multi-layer fonts in OTF and compact WOFF2 formats from templates and presets. Layer structure, solid colors, alpha channels, gradients, and effects are defined once within the font for reproducible variants across an entire character set. This approach supports consistent branding outputs such as base, outline, filled, gradient, and layered styles, with one font serving as source for both OTF and WOFF2. The WOFF2 format works in modern browsers including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Opera where COLRv1 is supported.

When COLRv1 is unavailable, designs can be exported as high-resolution PNG for print previews, mockups, or static use. A reusable gradient library provides built-in presets or user-saved options to maintain color consistency across fonts, SVGs, and projects. The service runs on desktop, iOS, and Android devices, either directly in the browser or installed as an app.
