colors.codes is a free named color library for the full sRGB color space. It treats each of the 16,777,216 hex codes as a color with a real, deterministic name and its own permanent URL, making individual colors directly shareable by link.

The site presents an infinite canvas of every sRGB color as its homepage. Clicking or otherwise interacting with a swatch opens that color’s detail page, where palette building, tints, shades, harmonies, and WCAG contrast tooling are available. The service also supports Tailwind export, and its FAQ describes the library as built for modern CSS. It includes tools for generating a Tailwind shade scale and for checking WCAG contrast between colors.

colors.codes also offers a companion Chrome extension. The extension provides the same toolkit inside any tab and is described as a side-panel workspace with an EyeDropper, Inspector, palette builder, image color extraction, harmony generation, contrast checker, and Tailwind export. The extension stores all data locally and does not track users.
