ClipNext

ClipNext is an open-source clipboard manager designed as a browser extension for Chromium-based browsers, including Chrome, Edge, and Brave. It addresses the need for secure, efficient, and private clipboard management directly within the browser, functioning as a local-first solution that acts as short-term memory for copied content. env keys and passwords, remains stored locally on the user's machine without any server involvement or telemetry.

Among its key features, ClipNext offers infinite clipboard history and the ability to mark important snippets as Favorites, which are protected from automated cleanups for persistent access. The extension supports not only text, links, and code but also images and screenshots, allowing users to preview and paste recently copied visual content without leaving the browser. Bulk export functionality enables users to select and extract multiple text items from their clipboard history in a single action, streamlining workflows that involve compiling research or gathering code snippets.

For efficient retrieval, ClipNext includes a smart search feature capable of quickly filtering through extensive clipboard histories to locate specific strings, links, or variables. The extension also provides non-intrusive notifications to confirm when snippets are securely stored, helping users maintain confidence in their workflow without unnecessary distractions.
