ChainMemory provides persistent, portable, and verifiable memory for AI models and assistants, addressing the challenge of context loss between sessions or when switching between AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot. It enables users to anchor project decisions, milestones, and context so that these elements remain available across different AI models and sessions. Each saved memory is linked to the user's API key, ensuring data ownership, and is anchored with a cryptographic hash for verifiability and immutability.

The platform offers features such as saving memories tied to projects with tags and metadata, automatic context injection at the start of AI conversations, semantic search of memories by content, tags, project, or date range, and verification of project state integrity via immutable hashes. Users can update project state, with every change generating a new cryptographic fingerprint, and export their memories at any time. The "Project Brain" feature allows an AI to understand the complete context, including decisions, stack, milestones, and ongoing state, so that it can continue from where it left off. ChainMemory also implements anti-hallucination measures by injecting real project context, reducing the likelihood of fabricated responses.

ChainMemory is accessible through multiple interfaces: a Chrome extension that lets users save conversation content from AI chats with a single click, an MCP server for desktop assistants and editors (such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code), and a REST API that supports integration with any technology stack, including Node.js, Python, and Go. The extension can detect and extract relevant conversation content and anchor it to a project without manual copying or pasting. All functionalities, including saving memories, querying state, injecting context, and verifying hashes, are available via the API using a single API key.

The service offers several pricing tiers. The Free plan includes 100 memories per month, 5 context injections, 3 projects, 90-day retention, and access for one user. The Starter plan at $9 per month increases these limits and adds features such as Project Brain and MCP. The Pro plan at $29 per month offers higher limits, unlimited retention, and full API access. The Team plan, priced at $79 per month, supports up to 10 users, unlimited projects, role-based access control, and audit trails. An Enterprise plan provides unlimited usage, SSO/SAML, SLA, and custom credit options, starting at $299 per month. User memories are always tied to their API key and are not stored on third-party servers, ensuring data portability and ownership.
