CataSync for WooCommerce

CataSync for WooCommerce is a free WordPress plugin designed to connect WooCommerce stores with the CataSync API, enabling automated enrichment of product listings. By leveraging product EANs, the plugin generates titles, descriptions, images, attributes, and SEO fields automatically, streamlining catalog management for store owners and managers. Users can install the plugin directly from WordPress.org, activate it within the WordPress admin dashboard, and configure it by entering an API key from their CataSync account.

The plugin provides a comprehensive interface integrated into the WordPress admin menu, featuring seven dedicated sections: Dashboard for account overview and credit statistics, Products for managing and generating enriched listings (both individually and in bulk), Profiles for defining automation rules and scheduling updates, Queue for live processing status, Log for tracking API calls and credit usage, Settings for configuring API keys and field overwrite policies, and System Status for diagnostics. Content generation can be triggered manually or scheduled automatically, with options to enrich products nightly, upon new imports, or by specific categories. The plugin operates in the background using WP-Cron or an external cron, allowing product processing to continue without keeping the browser open.

CataSync for WooCommerce detects and integrates with popular SEO plugins such as Yoast SEO and RankMath, automatically populating SEO-related fields like title, meta description, and focus keyword. Generated images are saved directly to the WordPress Media Library, ensuring their availability even if the plugin is deactivated. Users have granular control over field overwriting, with configurable policies for each product field, either globally or per automation profile. The plugin also supports fallback to product names if EANs are missing and provides compatibility guidance for specific hosting environments.

The plugin itself is free to download and install, but requires an active API license from CataSync to generate product content. New accounts receive five complimentary product enrichments for testing purposes. Updates and new features from the CataSync platform are integrated into the plugin with each release, and the plugin adheres to WordPress.org security and compatibility standards.
