BuildCast

BuildCast is a platform designed to transform GitHub development activity—including commits, pull requests, issues, and releases—into polished social media content using artificial intelligence. Aimed at developers and teams seeking to increase their social presence without manual effort, the tool automates the creation and distribution of posts tailored for a wide range of platforms. Its primary goal is to help developers share their progress and product updates consistently, addressing challenges such as lack of time, inconsistent posting, and missed engagement opportunities.

The platform integrates with GitHub via webhooks, monitoring code pushes and project updates in the background. When activity is detected, BuildCast analyzes commit messages, diff context, and project profiles to generate AI-powered captions. It employs a multi-provider AI system (including Groq, Gemini, and Anthropic) with automatic fallback to ensure reliability. The generated content is platform-specific, adapting captions to fit the style and constraints of each supported network. Users can review drafts in a content editor, edit captions, swap images, preview posts as they would appear on different platforms, and choose to publish immediately or schedule for later. Smart scheduling allows posts to be published at precise times, and analytics features provide insights into engagement, reach, and growth across all connected accounts.

BuildCast supports direct integrations with Twitter/X and Bluesky, and connects to 11 additional platforms—LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, Mastodon, Tumblr, and Discord—via OAuth. This enables users to distribute content automatically across up to 13 social platforms from a single dashboard. The tool is delivered as a web-based service, requiring users to connect both their GitHub repositories and social accounts.

A free tier is available, offering support for one project, up to three repositories, three platforms (Twitter/X, Bluesky, Discord), and a limit of 50 posts per month, with unlimited AI refreshes and scheduled posting. The Pro plan, available for a monthly fee, expands these limits to five projects, 15 repositories, access to all supported platforms, and up to 400 posts per month, along with full post analytics.
