ALIVE

alivecontext.com·Infrastructure

ALIVE is an open-source tool that provides local context for Claude Code. It stores projects, decisions, tasks, sources, and working history in files under user control so that work persists after individual chat sessions end.

The tool addresses the problem of context loss when chats conclude. It keeps active work available, routes incoming material, and allows experiments to remain provisional. ALIVE gives changing context a deliberate place to reside as the boundary between work, life, and learning blurs and AI enables faster testing of ideas.

Installation occurs through Claude Code's plugin system by adding the repository URL and installing the plugin. It requires Claude Code and Python 3. Users should review the public permission and security files before installation. The current version is 3.2, and using it for a week makes one eligible for the v4 private beta.

ALIVE is free and open source under the MIT license. No account is required for core context. The source code is publicly inspectable on GitHub.
