TailorResumes is a web-based service that produces resumes and cover letters tailored to specific job descriptions while aiming to avoid robotic language patterns associated with AI generation. It targets job seekers who need to pass applicant tracking system filters without triggering recruiter skepticism about machine-written content.

Users upload a resume in PDF or DOCX format and paste the target job description. The service extracts 30 to 50 keywords from the description, incorporates them into the document, and outputs an optimized PDF. It automatically removes phrases it identifies as AI-cringe words to produce text that recruiters are expected to view as human-sounding. The resulting resume receives clean formatting designed for ATS compatibility and is presented as tailored to the individual job posting.

The platform operates entirely through a browser interface with no additional software required. Its pricing follows a credit system in which one credit covers a fully tailored resume and cover letter pair. New users receive five free credits upon starting, after which additional credits must be purchased. There are no subscription fees or recurring monthly charges.
