AgenticMail

AgenticMail is an open-source platform designed to deploy and manage autonomous AI agents that operate as digital employees within organizations. It provides each AI agent with its own email inbox, phone number, and SMS capabilities, and extends their functionality through integrations with a wide range of productivity and enterprise tools. The platform offers two main components: a protocol layer, accessible via the @agenticmail/cli package, which enables real email and SMS functionality for AI agents using the user's own SMTP/IMAP, and an enterprise layer, available through @agenticmail/enterprise, which adds features such as calendars, browser automation, governance controls, and a multi-tenant dashboard for managing agent fleets.

With AgenticMail, users can deploy agents that interact with over 370 tools, 145 SaaS services, and 26 productivity platforms. Notable integrations include Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Slack, allowing agents to perform tasks like sending and receiving emails, managing calendars, handling attachments, and executing mail rules and auto-replies. Browser automation is supported through Playwright, enabling agents to navigate web pages, fill forms, take screenshots, and download files. Messaging capabilities extend to channels such as Telegram, WhatsApp, and Google Chat, with support for media attachments. Agents can also join Google Meet calls, participate in real-time conversations using ElevenLabs TTS for natural voice, and conduct meeting transcription. Additional features include shell and filesystem access for executing commands, editing code, and searching codebases, as well as DB-backed long-term memory for knowledge retention.

The platform is tailored for both developers and organizations, offering flexibility in deployment. It can be used as a free cloud service with a dedicated subdomain or self-hosted on various infrastructures, including Docker, Railway, Fly.io, Cloudflare Tunnel, or bare metal. AgenticMail supports ten different database backends, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and others. The dashboard provides extensive controls for creating, configuring, and monitoring agents, with features like DLP scanning, audit logs, SOC 2 compliance reporting, and role-based access. Agents can be instantiated from 51 personality templates across 14 categories, each with configurable permissions and compliance guardrails.

AgenticMail is released under the MIT license, making both its protocol and enterprise layers open source. It can be integrated into existing AI clients via plugins for Claude Code and Codex, or accessed directly through its Node SDK. This platform enables organizations to deploy, scale, and govern fleets of autonomous AI agents for a variety of real-world tasks.
