Admiral Ai

Admiral is a native macOS developer workspace for organizing work, running agents, and keeping chats, terminals, and pull requests in one place. It is aimed at developers and centers on branch-scoped workspaces that group the material for a single task.

Its workflow features include automation flows that run Implementer and Reviewer subagents through quality gates. A Coordinator chat can spawn those subagents, and the flow can be started from an issue’s inspector. The quality gates are scripted shell checks between phases, and failed checks send their output back to the Coordinator for another iteration. Admiral also includes a Kanban planner with issues, checklists, priorities, milestones, and labels, plus the ability to link an issue to a workspace and pull its context into chat with @task.

The workspace supports Claude and Codex side by side, with the chosen agent and model remembered per chat tab. It can run separate AI agents across different parts of a project in parallel, and each session keeps its own context and thread. Built-in developer tools include Git, a native terminal with full ANSI support, diffs, and file browsing, along with code review views for AI-suggested edits. The interface shows projects, conversations, and code in a multi-panel layout, and it supports worktrees per session so experiments do not collide on a branch.

Admiral can push, create, and link pull requests from the inspector, and AI can fill in PR titles and descriptions. It drafts conventional commit messages from staged changes as well. The product is built as a native Swift app on AppKit, with native shortcuts, menu bar integration, and window behavior designed for macOS. It runs locally on the user’s Mac, stores API keys in the macOS Keychain, and states that it uses no cloud sync, telemetry, or usage tracking. The page does not provide pricing or licensing details.
