Percentage changes compare the typical day — the seven-day average without its highest and lowest day — of the last seven complete days with the seven before; the line is that typical day from last week’s, at its left edge, to this week’s, at the last complete day, so where it ends against where it starts is the percentage; each week’s highest and lowest day are left out, so however large a single batch day is, its size cannot carry the week — the day still shows as a bar. The average uses its own vertical range; compare printed values for magnitude. Colour indicates each market’s complete-week trend, not individual daily changes; grey means the change is within the market’s usual variation.
