WakeMate

WakeMate is an iPhone application designed to facilitate shared wake-up routines among families and friends. Instead of relying on messages or calls to wake others, the app enables users to set alarms directly on the devices of people in their chosen circle. This approach aims to streamline morning coordination and reduce the need for manual reminders.

The app offers several features to support group scheduling. Users can add friends or family members by scanning a QR code or entering a friend code, making it quick to build a network. Once connected, individuals can set one-time or recurring alarms for each other, with options to include custom labels and personal messages. WakeMate implements real-time synchronization through Firebase, ensuring that any changes to alarms are instantly reflected across all devices without the need for manual refreshing. Permission controls are available on a per-friend basis, allowing users to specify exactly who is authorized to set alarms for them.

Personalization is supported through a selection of twelve colorful avatar icons, enabling users to customize their profiles without uploading personal photos. For households or groups, WakeMate provides Duo and Family subscription plans, which are positioned as affordable options for broader use within families. The app is available through the App Store for iPhone users.
