VizPy Optimizers is a tool designed to reduce prompt failure rates in AI modules by transforming errors into executable rules. Developed by VizopsAI, Inc, it serves as a drop-in replacement for DSPy and distinguishes itself by outperforming GEPA across all major open-source benchmarks. The tool provides two main optimizers: PromptGrad and ContraPrompt. PromptGrad is recommended for generation tasks and continuous metrics; it performs epoch-based failure analysis by computing textual gradients across batches and accumulates correction rules in a separate local rules section, leaving the base instructions unchanged. ContraPrompt is tailored for classification tasks with clear right or wrong answers, mining contrastive pairs—comparing wrong attempts to corrected ones—to extract the rule that differentiates them. Module, examples, and a metric, and receive an optimized module with improved instructions and a plain-English explanation of each rule added.

VizPy Optimizers integrates with Python and is compatible with any model accessible to the user. The API maintains the original module's signature and structure, ensuring minimal disruption to existing workflows. Open-source benchmarks are available for users to review performance metrics, and detailed guides and launch blogs explain the underlying mechanisms of PromptGrad and ContraPrompt.

The service offers a tiered pricing model. A free plan includes 10 optimization runs and community support. The Pro plan, priced at $20 per month, extends this to 200 runs and adds priority support. The Enterprise tier provides 1,000 runs per month and dedicated support for $200 per month. All plans include access to both PromptGrad and ContraPrompt optimizers.
