Velt is a software development kit (SDK) designed to add review, approval, and collaboration capabilities directly into applications. It addresses the challenge of enabling both humans and AI agents to propose, review, and approve changes generated within a product before those changes are applied, ensuring governance and accountability. These primitives include contextual comments, inline suggestions with accept/reject functionality, staged approval flows with routing and conditions, audit trails that capture a permanent record of actions and decisions, memory, notifications, presence indicators, live cursors, live selection, follow mode, multiplayer editing, CRDT support, single editor mode, live state synchronization, recording, and a video editor. Velt’s audit trail feature ensures traceability by recording who approved or suggested each change and when. Review agents allow AI to propose changes, which then require human approval before being applied via webhooks, with every decision recorded for compliance.

Velt supports self-hosting and includes an admin console, developer tools, webhooks, and an API for integration. The SDK integrates with libraries such as Lexical, Tiptap, YJS, BlockNote, CodeMirror, and React Flow. It is positioned for use cases across industries like sales enablement, fintech, financial planning and analysis, operations, AI-native SaaS, compliance, and legal. Example applications include video editors, form builders, analytics tools, task managers, spreadsheets, and session replay platforms.
