Variant is a presentation tool designed for teams who work with AI coding agents to create, edit, and collaborate on slide decks built from real HTML and CSS. The platform features a live, multiplayer editing environment where team members can see each other's cursors and selections in real time, add threaded comments, and share decks via view links without requiring recipients to create an account. Decks can be exported as self-contained HTML files, as well as in PPTX and PDF formats. Because slides are built from HTML, users can embed live charts, SVG diagrams, iframes, or other web components, keeping all content interactive and easily updatable.

Variant integrates with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor through MCP, enabling these agents to create new decks, edit slides, render previews, upload assets, and export files using a set of 20 dedicated tools.
