Solid

Solid is an autonomous agent operating system designed to automate complex workflows and tasks for businesses and organizations. It enables users to delegate a wide range of responsibilities—such as building trading bots, generating leads, developing games, tracking fitness, managing real estate tasks, launching websites or apps, and automating back-office processes—by instructing AI agents in plain language, similar to explaining a task to a coworker. These agents remain active in the background, working continuously to achieve specified goals and only involving users when human intervention is required for ambiguous or sensitive steps.

A key feature of Solid is its ability to operate with real resources: agents have their own computers, accounts, phone numbers, and payment balances, allowing them to interact with software and services as a human would. The platform supports integration with a wide variety of devices and operating systems, including iPhones, Macs, Windows, Linux VMs, and user-attached hardware such as laptops, office servers, and Raspberry Pis. Agents can connect to any service either through Solid's MCP, an API, or by directly operating interfaces, bypassing the need for engineering to provision new integrations. Solid also manages its own Google Workspace and iCloud accounts, can acquire phone numbers, and pays for APIs or subscriptions directly from the workspace balance.

Collaboration is central to the platform, as agents, apps, and context are shared across users, allowing organizations to build upon existing work. Solid's universal memory ensures that agents learn and retain relevant context, reducing repetitive information gathering. The system is self-provisioning, acquiring machines, APIs, and accounts as needed, and provides centralized control so users can set limits, review sensitive actions, and maintain oversight. Privacy and security are emphasized through isolated environments and agent-specific accounts, with an option for teams to run Solid entirely in their own environment for stricter requirements.

Solid offers three subscription plans at $80, $160, and $640 per month, with a credit system where credits are equivalent to dollars, ensuring transparent billing. The platform orchestrates multiple AI models in a pipeline for optimal task performance and allows connection to external inference providers or self-hosted models if preferred. This positions Solid as a flexible and comprehensive solution for automating digital work across a broad spectrum of business needs.
