StraightAhead is a production tracking and review system designed for animation and film teams. It addresses the need for organized workflow management across departments such as storyboard, layout, animation, FX, lighting, and compositing. The platform ensures that each department maintains ownership of its tasks while keeping the entire production path visible to all stakeholders.

Key features include workflow organization through dedicated "Rails"—Story Rail, Shot Rail, Asset Rail, and Version Rail—which provide clear surfaces for tracking the status of work, whether active, blocked, in review, or approved. The system emphasizes evidence-based approval, requiring that all versions be reviewable before supervisors can approve, request retakes, or mark work as final. No approval is granted without a corresponding version, reinforcing accountability and traceability in the review process.
