Snigirev Meta & Alt is a free WordPress plugin that provides tools for editing image attributes and basic on-page SEO elements. It addresses the need to manage missing or incorrect ALT text across the Media Library as well as to set custom meta titles and descriptions for posts and pages.

The plugin enables scanning for images that lack ALT text in a global mode and offers a per-page mode to browse only the images used on a specific post or page. Editors can modify ALT, Title, Caption, and Description fields for Media Library items, saving changes one at a time or in bulk using a Save all button. On post edit screens it supplies a metabox for entering custom SEO title and description values, which are then output on the front end as title and meta tags. When no custom values are set, site-wide default templates modeled after common patterns apply, using placeholders such as post_title and site_title.

Additional capabilities include basic schema.org JSON-LD markup for Article and WebPage types, generation of an XML sitemap, and management of robots.txt. The plugin also supports Open Graph markup and redirects according to its listed features.
