Skillful

Skillful is a desktop application designed to help users build and manage reusable AI workflows directly on their local filesystem. It organizes prompts, agents, screenshots, scripts, and notes as plain files and folders, allowing for direct inspection and maintenance. The tool addresses the common challenge of fragmented AI resources by consolidating all workflow components into a single, filesystem-first library, reducing duplication and version drift across different AI tools and environments.

With Skillful, users can edit folders directly, preview markdown files, and import public skill repositories for broader workflow integration. The application supports installing the same skill or agent into multiple AI tools and folder-based destinations, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini, Junie, opencode, or any compatible environment that uses folders. This ensures consistency and avoids the problem of outdated or scattered copies of prompts and scripts. Skillful also provides features to filter and badge workflows, distinguishing between skills and agents within the same workspace, and offers utilities to spot and repair broken symlinks or remove obsolete skills cleanly.

The software is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux, and operates offline, emphasizing privacy and local control over workflow data. Skillful is source-available under the FSL license, allowing users to review and maintain their own copies of the application.
