md specification is agent-, tool-, and vendor-agnostic, using a document structure that combines YAML frontmatter and a Markdown body. It provides a schema for defining project areas, quality factors, requirements, and rating scales, along with rules for naming, referencing, and model semantics. Conformance relates solely to the structure and meaning of the document, without prescribing evaluation methods. The format is domain-agnostic and can be applied to software projects, documentation sets, data products, or any context where deliberate quality modeling is needed.

md offers a CLI tool and an agent skill, serving as a reference implementation and starter kit. md file, generate comprehensive quality evaluation reports with prioritized recommendations, and refine the model based on evaluation outcomes. The workflow encourages iterative improvement: users create a model, evaluate project quality, act on recommendations, and update the model, forming a continuous quality loop. md files are also included.
