ScratchTrack Studio is a multi-track digital audio workstation (DAW) for macOS that introduces version control concepts such as branching and merging to audio production. Designed to help musicians, producers, and collaborators manage and organize their creative process, the platform allows users to experiment with arrangements, mixes, and instrument choices without fear of losing progress or overwriting previous work. Every recording, edit, and mix decision is tracked, creating a complete visualized project history that can be reverted or compared at any point.

A key feature of ScratchTrack is its ability to create branches for exploring alternative ideas and merge the best results back into the main session. This workflow supports conflict-free collaboration, enabling session musicians, producers, or co-writers to work asynchronously and resolve merge conflicts intelligently. Users can invite collaborators with granular permissions, share projects, and review or comment on proposed changes via merge requests before integrating them into the main session. The tool also offers unlimited tracks (audio or MIDI), take-based comping, high-resolution 24-bit audio with 32-bit processing, and real-time monitoring during recording.

ScratchTrack includes built-in professional audio analysis tools, such as a real-time spectrum analyzer for visualizing frequency content and an AI-powered voice isolation feature that separates vocals from instrumentals locally on the user's Mac. The platform supports exporting individual stems or full mixes as industry-standard WAV files, allowing users to transfer their work to other DAWs for further production. All functionality is available offline, with automatic syncing resuming when an internet connection is restored.

The software is delivered as a native macOS application requiring macOS 15 or later. ScratchTrack offers a free plan that allows unlimited local projects and up to three active cloud-synced songs, with always-free incoming collaboration. Users can upgrade to a paid plan for unlimited cloud sync and outbound sharing at a monthly fee. This approach ensures that users retain access to their work and can collaborate flexibly, whether working locally or in the cloud.
