quickS3

quickS3 is a hosted web interface designed to simplify access to S3-compatible storage for teams, agencies, and startups. It addresses the challenge of securely sharing, browsing, uploading, and downloading files from S3 buckets without exposing complex IAM configurations or administrative credentials. The service connects to existing storage providers, including AWS S3, DigitalOcean Spaces, Backblaze B2, MinIO, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi, Azure Blob, and any service supporting the S3-compatible API, allowing organizations to maintain their current storage setup without migrating data.

The platform enables administrators to invite users by email and assign granular, role-based permissions on a per-bucket and optional folder-prefix basis. Roles are defined with allow-only rules, such as read-only or upload access to specific folders, supporting segmentation by team, project, or client. Audit logging is built in, providing a record of who accessed or modified files and when, with a default retention period of 14 days to balance accountability and storage efficiency. For authentication, quickS3 offers passwordless login via magic links sent to email, as well as Google OAuth, making access straightforward for non-technical users and removing the need for password management.

Security is emphasized through the use of short-lived access URLs, activity logging, and encryption of access credentials at rest. Credentials are never exposed to users or stored in browsers, and the service functions strictly as a gateway, never copying or storing the underlying data. quickS3 does not replace or operate buckets; it overlays a user-friendly interface and access controls on top of existing storage solutions.

The platform is currently available as a free beta with no credit card required. The introductory pricing is set at $12 per user per year, with a planned increase to $24 per user per year. This includes unlimited users, roles, and storage connections, as well as short-term audit log retention. Additional features such as SSO, extended audit retention, and compliance options are noted as forthcoming in future plans. quickS3 is developed by Gone Coding Ltd.
