Psysonic is a desktop music client designed primarily for users managing self-hosted music libraries, with a particular focus on Navidrome servers. The platform maintains a local index of the user's entire collection, ensuring instant browsing, searching, and playback—even for large files or on unreliable connections—making it behave almost like an offline player. On-device audio analysis is performed locally, supporting content-aware AutoDJ transitions, LUFS-based loudness normalization, and playback-speed control without the need for cloud services or server-side plugins.

Psysonic offers a range of advanced audio features, including a 10-band equalizer with presets, AutoEQ headphone correction, per-device EQ optimization, and gapless playback. Users benefit from smart playlists, playlist folders, drag-and-drop management, multi-select bulk actions, and Magic Strings sharing for albums, artists, and queues. fm scrobbling, smart radio sessions, and infinite queues. Personalization options include a community theme store, theme scheduling, font customization, zoom controls, keybind remapping, and colorblind-friendly themes. Additional capabilities cover offline playback and downloads, USB/portable sync, LAN/remote auto-switching, backup and restore of settings, and in-app auto-updating.
