Postrix – Recent Posts Widget

wordpress.org·Web & no-code builders

Postrix – Recent Posts Widget is a WordPress plugin that displays filtered lists of recent posts. It addresses the need to show selected posts in sidebars, page content, or other areas without manual coding.

The plugin supports filtering by post type including posts, pages, and any public custom post type. Additional filters allow inclusion or exclusion by category ID, tag ID, or author ID. Display can be ordered by date, random, or menu order. Options include setting the number of posts and an offset, showing or hiding thumbnails, dates, authors, and excerpts, prioritizing sticky posts, and automatically excluding the current post on single post views.

It can be added to a site in three ways. The classic widget appears under Appearance Widgets. A dedicated Gutenberg block named “Postrix – Recent Posts Widget” is available in the block inserter under Widgets. Shortcodes are also supported, with parameters such as number, post_type, and categories.

The plugin is listed in the official WordPress.org Plugin Directory and is provided by Sandeep Avasthi. It is available for download at no cost as a standard WordPress plugin.
