Ovumcy

Ovumcy is a privacy-focused menstrual cycle tracker designed for users who prioritize control over their personal health data. The tool is free and open source, and it operates without telemetry or trackers, ensuring that user information is not collected for advertising or sold as a product. Ovumcy can be self-hosted as a web application, allowing individuals to run it on their own servers. It is delivered as a progressive web app (PWA) that can be installed to a phone's home screen and accessed through a browser. The application can be deployed using Docker or a single Go binary, with SQLite as the default database and optional support for Postgres. Security features include OIDC sign-in and TOTP two-factor authentication. Ovumcy supports export of data in CSV and JSON formats, and it is available in six languages: English, Russian, Spanish, French, German, and Italian. The current version enables users to log and track their menstrual cycle phases, such as period, follicular, ovulation, and luteal days. The interface provides information on the current day of the cycle and predicts the next period date. The platform emphasizes that all features shown are part of the actual product, not concept art. While the self-hosted web app is available now, the development roadmap includes a local-first mobile app for iOS and Android, which will store data only on the device and require no account. Planned features also include encrypted sync for backup, restore, and multi-device use, as well as a managed cloud hosting option for those who prefer not to manage their own server. Ovumcy is positioned as a privacy-first alternative for menstrual cycle tracking, specifically catering to users who want to retain full ownership and control of their health data.
