Kaptchi is open-source whiteboard assistant software designed to support users with low vision, particularly those who have difficulty seeing whiteboards from a distance. The tool aims to improve accessibility in environments where whiteboard content is important but not easily visible to everyone. It is not intended for users who rely on screen readers, but rather for individuals who benefit from enhanced visual capture and processing.

Kaptchi offers several capture methods to accommodate different setups and needs. Users can capture whiteboard images using an integrated camera, a mobile camera through the Kaptchi Android app, the entire monitor, or a single window. For those with only one screen, the software provides the option to create a virtual monitor, allowing a different window to be captured without additional hardware.

The software includes advanced processing features, such as filters and person removal, to produce clear whiteboard images free from obstructions. After capturing, users can cut and draw directly on the "whiteboard screenshots" to annotate or highlight important information. All processed and edited images can then be exported together in a single PDF file, facilitating easy review and sharing of whiteboard content.
