Hwinote iCatch Editor is a tool designed for WordPress users who want to create custom featured images (アイキャッチ画像) directly from the post editing screen. It addresses the common challenge of spending excessive time preparing individual featured images for blog posts by integrating an image creation and editing interface within the WordPress post editor. The tool is particularly suited for those who find preparing images for each article tedious, want to streamline their blog update process, or have limited design experience but still wish to produce visually appealing images.

The editor provides a modal canvas interface that allows users to input the article title or any desired text, adjust the design, and generate a featured image tailored for their blog. Key features include the ability to select from preset image sizes, modify and position the background image, and add various shapes such as rectangles, circles, arrows, lines (including straight, dotted, double, and wavy lines), and speech bubbles. Many of these shapes support both horizontal and vertical text input. The tool also enables users to adjust the size, position, and rotation of added elements, as well as copy and paste them. Layer support is included, allowing for more complex compositions.

The title displayed on the featured image can be customized, with options to change the text, size, and placement, or to shorten it for better readability within the image. Saving the edited image replaces the current featured image for the post, and the file is named systematically using an ID and timestamp. The editing interface is designed to keep the image centered and visible during editing, enhancing usability.

Hwinote iCatch Editor is delivered as a WordPress plugin, activated from the settings panel on the right side of the post editing screen. While the tool currently offers a limited range of fonts, there are plans for gradual expansion.
