Holnix is a centralized platform designed to connect publishers and bookstores by automating the management and distribution of editorial metadata. It addresses common challenges in the publishing industry such as fragmented data, lack of synchronization, and manual catalog updates, enabling both publishers and bookstores to keep their catalogs accurate and up to date across multiple sales channels.

The platform enables publishers to upload their metadata in ONIX format, which Holnix then processes, organizes, and distributes automatically to all connected bookstores and distributors. Key metadata elements such as titles, authors, prices, covers, and descriptions are structured in a standardized way, ensuring consistency and reducing errors. Any updates made by publishers to their metadata are synchronized in real time, so bookstores always have access to the latest information without manual intervention.

For bookstores and distributors, Holnix provides plugins for popular ecommerce platforms including WooCommerce, Shopify, and Magento, as well as a dedicated Holnix App. These integrations allow bookstores to connect their online stores to the Holnix platform and synchronize editorial catalogs automatically using an access token. Features for bookstores include the ability to filter titles by publication date, search directly by ISBN, and import or update complete publisher catalogs, all aimed at minimizing errors and eliminating duplicate entries.

Holnix is intended for two primary user groups: publishers seeking greater visibility and automated distribution of their catalogs, and bookstores or distributors that require always-accurate, easily synchronized book information for their online stores.
