Garzed is a consumer smart garden watering system that pairs soil moisture sensors with smart valves to automate irrigation based on actual soil conditions rather than fixed timers. It addresses the need for hands-off garden and lawn maintenance by continuously monitoring moisture levels and delivering water only when required. It monitors soil in multiple distinct areas such as separate plant beds. When moisture in one area falls below a target threshold, the corresponding valve activates in short pulses, rechecks the level, and shuts off once the soil reaches the appropriate point. Users select between two automation modes: schedule mode, which operates a smart valve on a user-defined timer that skips watering during rain, or full auto mode, which incorporates the moisture sensor for adaptive pulse-and-check behavior.

The system maintains a library of plant-specific dry-down points, representing how far soil moisture can drop before watering is needed for each type. In mixed beds it triggers irrigation based on the most sensitive plant to prevent over-drying, then restores soil to the area's capacity. Deeper-rooted plants may tolerate drier conditions while the system protects those that cannot. Example dashboard views show areas such as a tomato bed and pepper bed operating in full auto with current moisture percentages displayed alongside status indicators.

Access occurs through a web dashboard after requesting early access. The product is delivered as a connected hardware and software solution for residential gardens and lawns.
