CarStream is a real-time vehicle telemetry and GPS tracking system designed for car owners who want live access to their vehicle’s data. The platform uses a dedicated CarStream Unit device, which is installed discreetly in the car and reads over 50 engine and GPS parameters. These parameters, such as RPM, speed, temperature, fuel level, engine load, boost pressure, oil temperature, throttle position, battery voltage, and more, are displayed on a dashboard accessible via web browser or mobile device from anywhere.
The tool provides live monitoring of vehicle metrics with data latency of less than one second and operates reliably even during long trips or without a network connection. CarStream automatically detects which sensors are available in the connected vehicle and only shows relevant data, avoiding empty or irrelevant fields. In addition to live telemetry, it features real-time reading and logging of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), with instant AI-generated explanations for error codes and guidance on whether it is safe to continue driving. Users can clear error codes directly from the dashboard without needing a separate scanner.
Trip tracking is automated; CarStream recognizes the start and end of each journey, logs them without user intervention, and generates detailed trip histories, including speed heatmaps and fuel consumption data. Refueling events are automatically marked on maps. The GPS functionality provides live vehicle location on a map, remembers the last parked location, and supports geofencing with push notifications when the car enters or exits defined zones. The service also offers voice alerts about speed cameras in Ukraine, delivered through the car’s speaker, functioning even without an internet connection.
Users can set custom rules and receive push notifications for speed limits, geofence events, trip starts and ends, and specific driving behaviors. Each event is logged with time, value, and map location. Sharing features allow users to generate a public link to share live vehicle location or trip summaries for a set period without requiring the recipient to register. The platform also compiles statistics on driving habits, total distance, time behind the wheel, and other metrics, which can be shared via link.
