Burly

Burly is a macOS menu bar application designed to help users manage how links are opened across different browser profiles. When a link is clicked, Burly acts as the link handler and presents a picker interface that allows the user to select the specific browser and profile in which the link should open. This process is optimized for speed and can be controlled instantly using the keyboard.

The app automatically detects and lists all available browser profiles, including those for Safari, Chrome (and Chrome Canary), Brave, Microsoft Edge, Arc, Vivaldi, Chromium, and browsers in the Firefox family. Each profile can be personalized with an emoji, account photo, petal color, and a dedicated shortcut key, making it easier to recognize and select the desired profile quickly. The radial picker interface appears at the cursor location with the link at its center, and each profile is accessible with a single keystroke. Users can also configure the picker’s behavior, choosing whether a click opens the picker or jumps directly to the last-used profile, and this preference can be toggled within the app.

Burly is available as a free download and requires macOS 13 or later. No account is needed to use the app. Its features are aimed at individuals who regularly work with multiple browsers or browser profiles and want a streamlined way to route links to the appropriate environment. The tool emphasizes privacy and a keyboard-first workflow for efficient link management.
