Baron Buff is an AI-powered companion app and coach designed specifically for players of League of Legends. It addresses the challenge of making informed decisions during champion selection and throughout each phase of the game by providing real-time, data-driven guidance. The tool offers live recommendations on picks and bans, explains win conditions, and highlights jungle pressure, aiming to help users improve their strategic choices and overall gameplay.

During champion select, Baron Buff uses a proprietary machine learning model trained on millions of matches from every ranked tier and region, leveraging Riot's official APIs. As both teams pick and ban champions, the app updates its recommendations in real time, factoring in counters, team synergy, composition fit, and the user's preferred champion pool. It provides clear reasoning behind each suggestion, rather than just listing options. Pre-match, the app delivers tailored coaching tips, including lane plans, trade patterns, teamfight approaches, and key threats to respect, all based on the specific matchup and team compositions.

After the game, Baron Buff offers post-match analysis that highlights impactful decisions, with each report contributing to a personal learning dashboard that tracks progress against the user's rank. The tool also includes a Champions section, where users can access draft notes, matchup insights, and pre-match plans generated by the AI, supporting learning between games. Champion pages are available for quick reference, offering matchup notes, counters, role guidance, and build suggestions.

Baron Buff operates primarily through a browser-based interface and requires a Windows Connector for live draft tracking, which is distributed via the Microsoft Store as a Microsoft-signed binary. The live draft experience is available on Windows, while manual draft analysis can be accessed on any device. A mobile experience is supported by scanning a QR code during champion select, mirroring the live draft interface in the mobile browser without requiring an app installation. The service is read-only, does not modify game files, and follows Riot's developer policies.
