Abolitus

abolitus.com·AI & ML

Abolitus is an uncensored AI roleplay client designed for users who require strict data privacy. It operates with a local-first architecture that keeps all activity on the user's device by default and never logs user data.

The client runs its chat engine entirely in the browser. Users supply their own API keys for models such as GPT-4o, Claude, Llama, or Mistral through OpenRouter, or connect to local Ollama instances. Client-side RAG memory is generated with Transformers.js to support long-term character memory. All storage uses AES-256-GCM encryption derived from a locally generated BIP-39 master key that never leaves the browser. Prompt assembly, lorebook handling, memory recall, and parsing occur inside the client. Encrypted blobs with chunk padding are used for chats and any optional sync payloads. The backend sees none of the master key, raw chat archives, or local vector memory index.

No servers process user data, no analytics or tracking are present, and no KYC is required. An optional premium tier adds seamless encrypted cloud sync while preserving the zero-knowledge design. The service is free for local use and requires no signup.
